Olympic coast tide pools team with sea life: Sea stars, sea anemones, hermit crabs, sea urchins , sea cucumbers, nudabranchs and marine algae play unique and fascinating rolls in this intertidal world. Green flower-like sea anemones are passive predators, eating whatever happens to come their way. Ochre sea stars, however, climb as high as the tides will allow to feed on mussels and thereby dictating the layered zones where each can survive.
