The Olympic Peninsula forms much of the western side of Washington State. It is home to the 922,651 acre Olympic National Park. The longest continuous wilderness coastline in the contiguous United State is found on its western edge. In the center are the rugged Olympic Mountains. In-between lie vast tracts of verdant forests including some of the finest examples of temperate rain forest. The 900 miles of trail that crisscross its roadless wilderness makes this Peninsula a hikers paradise.
